Phenomenology and Philosophy of Religion

Explication of key differences between the phenomenology of Husserl and Heidegger, leading to the disclosure of ontological identity. Based on the ontological difference, historical epochs of being and dangers and promises of nihilism, phenomenological ontology serves as the starting point for a new understanding of the history of being through the triple paradigm of the primordial phenomena of Play, Gift and Work, which – historically and structurally – overlap with the metaphysical grounding elements of the World, God and Human. The criticism of the ultimate ontic grounding of being, from Plato to Husserl, unveils new possibilities of uncovering the truth of religiosity as one of the primordial elements of being human. The explication of the meontic truth of groundless attunements clears the way for delineating the basic contours of the religious bearing of the philosophical human, over and against the basic contours of the religious bearing of the religious human. This differentiation through the new positive determinations helps leave behind the old futile antagonism of theism and atheism.
