As part of the lectures: Old Indic verbal morphology of non-present tenses (perfect, aorist), secondary present systems (future, desiderative, causative, intensive, denominative, passive) and impersonal forms, always in due confrontation with other major archaic Indo-European languages.
As part of the tutorial: students are encouraged to use and expand their knowledge of descriptive and historical grammar of Old Indic. Through guided and gradually independent reading of longer original prose texts they continue building up their vocabulary and gain confidence in dealing with the more complex features of syntax.
