Do you want to find out about the latest developments in contemporary history? Are you interested in publishing in a contemporary history journal? If so, then this workshop is for you. It combines a lecture and discussion led by Doina Anca Cretu (Masaryk Institute and Archives of Czech Academy of Sciences/University of Vienna), a round table on historiography, and a roundtable on publishing in journals with small-group w where journal editors offer feedback on proposed article abstracts and/or introductions.

Workshops with individual CEH editors

The morning session is open to all; the afternoon sessions are particularly targeted at PhD students and early-career researchers (within c.5 years of their PhD). There are twenty available places in the afternoon sessions, and if you are interested, send an email to rok.stergar@ff.uni-lj.si. The email should include details of your career stage (if PhD, which year), field and institution, any questions you might like to ask the panelists for the "busting myths about publishing in history journals" roundtable, and for the workshops with individual CEH editors, an abstract and/or an introduction (max. 1000 words) from you, so the group leaders can give some feedback.
Participation is free. 
This event is hosted by the journal Contemporary European History and the research program Slovene History at the University of Ljubljana. Funded by Cambridge University Press and the research program Slovene History at the University of Ljubljana.

Želite izvedeti več o najnovejših dosežkih na področju sodobne zgodovine? Vas zanima objavljanje v revijah za sodobno zgodovino? Če je tako, potem je ta delavnica namenjena prav vam. Združuje predavanje in razpravo, ki ju bo vodila Doina Anca Cretu (Masarykov inštitut in arhiv Češke akademije znanosti/Univerza na Dunaju), okroglo mizo o historiografiji in okroglo mizo o objavljanju v revijah z delavnico v manjših skupinah, kjer bodo uredniki ponudili povratne informacije o predlaganih povzetkih in/ali uvodih člankov.

Delavnice s posameznimi uredniki CEH

Dopoldanski del bo odprt za vse; popoldanski del je namenjena predvsem doktorskim študentom in raziskovalcem na začetku kariere (do približno pet let po doktoratu). V popoldanskem delu je na voljo dvajset mest. Če se ga želite udeležiti, pošljite e-pošto na naslov rok.stergar@ff.uni-lj.si. Elektronsko sporočilo naj vsebuje podatke o vaši karierni stopnji (če ste doktorirali, katero leto), področju in instituciji, morebitna vprašanja, ki bi jih želeli zastaviti udeležencem okrogle mize "razbijanje mitov o objavljanju v zgodovinskih revijah", za delavnice s posameznimi uredniki CEH pa povzetek in/ali uvod (največ 1000 besed), da bodo lahko uredniki podali nekaj povratnih informacij.

Udeležba je brezplačna.
