Lecturer(s): doc. dr. Hmeljak Marija Kristina
Students reinforce the linguistic knowledge they gained in the first cycle study programme; they get acquainted with properties of scientific and technical texts, and learn what steps are required to create such texts; they are introduced to the specifics of Japanese scientific and technical language. They read Slovenian and intermediate-level Japanese technical and scientific texts, parsing their structure and learning technical and scientific terminology. While reinforcing their active knowledge of written Japanese, students practice writing a technical text in Japanese, on the topic of their master thesis. In the process they receive training in collecting data, drafting texts, orally presenting the content, and finally writing a non-advanced scientific or technical text.
