Students gain familiarity with the conventions of written and spoken discourse in Italian with regard to form, function, purpose and target audience. The course focuses on rhetorical conventions and language features of specific genres. Students gain familiarity with the discourse features of rules, regulations and instructions, as well as with informative and promotional discourse.
