Students become familiar with ESP as an important component of foreign language programs (in vocational schools, university programmes, private language schools). The course provides an overview of the main developments in the field of teaching ESP and the state of the discipline today. It deals with methodological and other aspects of ESP (needs analysis, materials and course design, testing). Students become familiar with the special features of ESP and analyse its different areas of application.
